On 20 September 2016, International Registries, Inc.’s (IRI’s) Piraeus office conducted a seminar for dry bulk owner Diana Shipping which was attended by the company’s senior Greek officers. Ernest Chan, Fleet Operations Manager, IRI Hong Kong, John Xenakoudis, Seafarers’ Documentation Officer, IRI Piraeus, John Sideris, Flag State Inspector, IRI Piraeus, and Theodore Lalas, Fleet Operations Manager, IRI Piraeus, gave presentations on port State control (PSC) matters worldwide and the China Maritime Safety Administration (CMSA).
Feedback received from seminar participants was very positive and a similar seminar is now being planned to take place in Manila, home to many of Diana Shipping’s Filipino officers.
