International Registries, Inc. (IRI) held its 27th Annual Tournament of Shipping Champions golf event on 19 September 2016 at River Vale Country Club. 88 golfers enjoyed the autumnal fairway views and, despite the initial rainy conditions, enjoyed an excellent afternoon of golf once the weather had cleared.
Golfers travelled in from New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut for the tournament and at the end of the day networked over cocktails and dinner in the River Vale clubhouse. Awards were handed out and a performance given by the Rockland County Pipe & Drum Group.
IRI anticipates the return of the tournament to its usual venue, Brynwood Golf & Country Club, next year once the current renovation work it is undergoing has finished.
