Thanos Theocharis

Mr. Theocharis joined IRI's Piraeus office in June 2007 and was promoted to Regulatory Affairs European Liaison in 2009. In June 2022 he was promoted to Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs. He is responsible for attending IMO meetings and participating in the development of amendments, conventions, and codes. Prior to joining IRI, Mr. Theocharis worked for three years as a Marine Superintendent with Louis Cruise Lines, and for three years with Liger Marine Consultants where he provided consultation on matters of cruise ship safety and security. He received his B.S. Honors in Maritime Studies and Master of Science from Liverpool John Moores University.
