Jasbir Jaspal

Mr. Jaspal joined International Registries, Inc. (IRI) in October 2016 as Senior Maritime Advisor after working for ExxonMobil for 30 years. In 2018 he was appointed as Senior Vice President, Maritime Services. As Project Manager at ExxonMobil he was responsible for the design and construction of 10 very large crude carriers (VLCCs), aframax tankers, and product double hull tankers in Japan, Korea, and Yugoslavia, as well as for the design and construction of 14 double hull barges at Jeffboat, Indiana, USA. Mr. Jaspal was also in charge of new terminals and modification of an existing terminal. As Technical Advisor, he oversaw emergency response during incidents with ships, tanker drydockings, and major ship modifications to the international fleet and the United States fleet. Mr. Jaspal also has significant experience with liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker specification and floating LNG (FLNG) specification. Mr. Jaspal received a Master of Science in Marine Transportation Management from State University of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from University of Michigan and graduated from Marine Engineering College in India. Mr. Jaspal has a license as a Professional Engineer registered in Virginia and is a member of the Society of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineers, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) committee on Naval Architecture, and the Oil Companies International Forum (OCIMF).
