Rob Lomas

Mr. Lomas joined IRI's London office as Regulatory Administration Manager in January 2015 after 30 years of activity in the shipping industry. Prior to joining IRI, Mr. Lomas served as Secretary General of the bulk carrier association, Intercargo, where he focused on issues such as opposing the criminalisation of seafarers with respect to accidental pollution, PSC performance of bulk carriers, and coordinating activity to prevent loss of life from the liquefaction of solid bulk cargoes. Prior to joining Intercargo, Mr. Lomas held positions at the UK Chamber of Shipping focusing on offshore support vessel activities and Nippon Yusen Kaisha’s (NYK’s) Container Division. Mr. Lomas earned his B.S. in Business and Administration (Transport) at the University of Salford.
