Emily Richmond

Ms. Richmond joined IRI’s London office in January 2012 as Vessel Registration Administrator and in April 2014 was promoted to Senior Vessel Registration Administrator. In January 2016, she was further promoted to Vessel Registration Manager. In April 2021, she was promoted to Vice President, Vessel Registration and Documentation where together with Sofia Kounia, who is based out of the Piraeus office, they oversee worldwide vessel registration transactions including the vetting of vessels, vessel documentation and certificate issuance and instrument recordings. Before joining IRI, Ms. Richmond worked in Property in London where she was responsible for contract negotiation and communication with a diverse range of clients. Ms. Richmond graduated with Honors from Newcastle University with a B.S. in Geography and completed a professional development course administered by Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, earning her a diploma in Ship Management with Merit from North Kent College. She is a member of WISTA UK and SPNL.
