Flag State Performance Table

Flag State Performance TableThe Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Registry has been given a top rating in the recently published Shipping Industry Flag State Report Table 2016/17. Produced by the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the report provides an annual overview of the performance of the world’s flag States against a number of criteria such as port State control records, ratification of international conventions, and attendance at International Maritime Organization (IMO) meetings. International Registries, Inc. and its affiliates (IRI), which provide administrative and technical support to the RMI Registry, notes that the RMI is 1 of 8 flag States to meet each and every criteria set out by ICS. However, this year while flag States that qualify for Qualship 21 are given a positive performance indicator, those which do not qualify have not been given negative performance indicators

Commenting on the results, IRI Director, Marketing & Communications, Laura Sherman said: “we’re delighted to once again be recognized as a leading flag State administration that provides quality and timely services. We will continue to be proactive and innovative to ensure the quality of the RMI flag.”
