For 15 years, Captain Vincenzo Bellalba has been an invaluable member of the International Registries, Inc. (IRI) family, which provides administrative and technical support to the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Maritime and Corporate Registries. He began working with IRI in 2002 with an assignment to carry out an RMI Safety Inspection on a large container ship, and has since then acted as a representative and Nautical Inspector of the RMI Maritime Administrator.

Hans Krijger, based in IRI’s Roosendaal office and responsible for overseeing inspections across North West Europe, Spain, the Middle East, India, and Africa, has worked alongside Captain Bellalba often during this time.

“I had the pleasure to meet and work with Captain Bellalba in Balboa, Spain in 2005 after an RMI flagged ship had been detained by port State control (PSC),” said Hans Krijger.

“It was a pleasure to work with Captain Bellalba, as his experience and expertise were obvious. He upheld the Registry’s reputation excellently,” continued Mr. Krijger.

In the years following, Captain Bellalba further committed himself to IRI and the RMI flag, becoming a local representative in Italy. This meant that he was responsible for handling local and regional issues that arose, as well as creating a relationship with PSC in Italy.

For his many years of dedicated service, Captain Bellalba received a Certificate of Appreciation from IRI, presented by Hans Krijger at a small celebration.

“I appreciate this certificate, as well as the support of IRI over the past 15 years,” said Captain Bellalba.

“I look forward to continuing my relationship with them, and I am excited for the years ahead,” concluded Captain Bellalba.
