International Registries (Far East) Limited and its affiliates (IRI) hosted a regional meeting in March 2025 in Manila. Annie Ng, Head of Asia and Managing Director, Vancouver Office, hosted the meeting, which included representatives from offices across Asia and Oceania.
In her opening speech, Annie addressed fleet trends and statistics, and updated personnel on action items and key topics from the February 2025 Maritime Services Group (MSG) meeting. Representatives from the regional offices presented projects, opportunities, regional trends and best practices. Departmental updates were shared on fleet operations, port State control (PSC), and seafarer documentation. The meeting included a period of discussion for feedback on operations, client experience, and more.
Regular, open, and strong two-way dialogue is essential to seamless worldwide operations. IRI hosts a number of regional meetings throughout the year, as well as departmental meetings and cross-departmental seminars. Internal regional meetings serve as a channel for sharing information and feedback from in-country clients as well as clients from other parts of the world, and insight from international regulatory and PSC meetings to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges for the fleet. IRI’s ‘One Team’ philosophy aims to foster cross-connection between offices, regions, departments, and teams to offer clients a seamless experience in every flag State interaction.
