The Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Registrar of Corporations has changed the look of the standard hard copy Certificate of Goodstanding to ensure visual consistency and uniform alignment with the electronic Certificate of Goodstanding. As of 4 May 2026, the following changes have been made to the hard copy Certificate of Goodstanding:
- Printed on standard quality bond paper, instead of custom cream paper;
- the border frame will change from a thick-thin double line to a single line;
- a watermark of the RMI seal will be visible, together with the official stamp, signature, and issuance details of the Deputy Registrar; and
- a unique tracking number will be added to enhance security and enable online verification.
RMI’s electronic Certificate of Goodstanding, launched in 2025, includes a QR Code for tracking and verification purposes as well as a unique tracking number that can be entered for validation through the website. The electronic Certificate of Goodstanding also includes an apostille for further authenticity.
