Two Employees Celebrate 20 Years in Piraeus

31 December 2025

The end of 2025 marks a significant milestone for two team members in the Piraeus Office, Marketing Director Lucy Mylonaki and Seafarers’ Documentation Deputy Manager Eliza Gigourtaki. Over the last two decades, Lucy and Eliza have witnessed and contributed to the growth of the organization at a time of significant industry transformation. Remaining adaptable and open to new ideas, they have successfully navigated change, helping the organization embrace new opportunities.

Lucy Mylonaki joined the company in 2005 and has become a highly visible presence across the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe in her marketing and business development role. Initially hired to expand corporate and maritime resources in Greece and Europe, Lucy played a pivotal role in the develop of the Cyprus market. Today, Cyprus is one of the Registry’s strongest corporate markets. As the Piraeus office expanded and new resources were brought on to support the growing Corporate Registry, Lucy shifted her focus to strengthening marketing activities. The first marketing representative in Piraeus, Lucy, credits her ability to adapt and a willingness to listen and learn from others for her success. Today, the Piraeus team forms a well-organized marketing plan each year, guiding eight to ten regional marketing activities a month, and supports marketing activities across Europe and the Middle East.

“I love the people I work with, from our team to our clients,” said Lucy. “I cannot believe it has already been 20 years, it feels like it has gone by so quickly.”

This year also marks the 20th anniversary for Seafarers’ Documentation Deputy Manager Eliza Gigourtaki. Eliza began as a Seafarers’ Documentation Assistant, managing basic processes of the department. As digitalization changed the processes of the department, Eliza’s role expanded significantly. Today she is involved in every stage of the department’s work, playing a key role in shaping digital processes and workflows while supporting the global and expanding Seafarers’ Documentation team. Open dialogue, teamwork, and the freedom to take initiative have kept Eliza motivated throughout her tenure, and she credits her colleagues in making the office feel like a second home.

Both Lucy and Eliza credit a positive company culture and wonderful colleagues as the forces that keep them engaged and motivated over the years. Their long-standing commitment and continued motivation are a testament to the strength of our team.
