SIRB and SQC APPLICATION PROCEDURES

The SQC is designed to be affixed to the allotted space in the SIRB.
For complete details regarding the issuance of the SIRB and SQC refer to Requirements For Merchant Marine Personnel Certification (MI-118, Sections 6 and 7).

The application form (MI-273) may be downloaded from our website and filled in electronically. Once you have completed the form, the  form must be dated and the applicant and filing agent must sign the form in the appropriate boxes. The ORIGINAL SIGNED FORM MUST BE MAILED to an IRI Office:

 

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

The Application for Seafarer's Identification and Record Books (SIRBs) and Special Qualification Certificates (SQCs) (form MI-273) must be submitted in person to a receiving/filing agent who has been approved by the Maritime Administrator for the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
