BIKINI IS NEW HOMEPORT OPTION FOR MARSHALL ISLANDS YACHTS

The Republic of the Marshall Islands’ Nitijela (parliament) recently passed an amendment to the Marshall Islands Maritime Act that allows private and commercial yachts registered in the Marshall Islands to have a homeport of Bikini. This now provides yacht owners with the option of selecting either Bikini or Jaluit as a homeport. Within the next few weeks, International Registries, Inc. (IRI), the administrator of the Corporate and Maritime Registry, will begin making this new option available to customers.
